You're looking at the new 2014 Evanta Barchetta, the first fruits of a collaboration between famed tuning company Kahn and specialist manufacturer Evanta, whose boss starred in Channel 4’s For The Love of Cars. Due to be unveiled officially at the Goodwood Revival in September, the Evanta Barchetta has been made by Ant-Kahn, the name for the surprise new partnership first revealed by CAR magazine earlier in summer 2014. It's a retro-styled roadster with seats for two and a wardrobe inspired by 1950s motorsport.
If the movie industry was the entertainment king of the 20th century, the video-gaming industry is where disposable income is headed for the 21st century. Tony Pond was a rally driver in the 1970s and ’80s, and he was rather good. Good enough to give the likes of Jimmy McRae a spanking from time to time and to drive in umpteen works cars, from Ford to Rover via Datsun. But Tony Pond is probably best remembered for piloting a Rover 827 Vitesse round the Isle of Man TT Circuit in 1990 at an average speed of over 100mph, the first time that had been done.
